The Nigeria Police Force has redeployed the commissioners of police in Rivers and Anambra commands.  In a statement on Friday, the police spokesperson, Frank Mba, said the redeployment took effect immediately.   Abang John, formerly of the Department of Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja has been posted to Anambra. The commissioner of police in charge of Anambra State, DanDaura Mustapha, has been redeployed to Rivers State as the new police chief.   The former commissioner of police in charge of Rivers State, Usman Alhassan Belel, returns to Force Headquarters, Abuja, to take over as the new commissioner of police in the Department of Research and Planning. Both Mr Mustapha and Mr Belel were redeployed to Anambra and Rivers state on February 7.   The postings which are strategically routine in nature are designed to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of policing services in the affected States and Departments. Super Eagles of Nigeria have knocked out  Cameroon , the defending champions from the ongoing African Cup of Nations in  Egypt  after thrashing them 3 -2 to qualify for Quarter-finals. Nigeria first took the lead in the 28th minutes after  Odion Ighalo  found the net. But Cameroon later replied with two goals from  Stephane Bahoken  and  Clinton N'Jie  in the 41 and 44 minutes. The comeback goal came in the 63 minutes after  Odion Ighalo  found the net for the second time before  Alex Iwobi then made it 3 - 2 in the 66 minutes. The Super Eagles will face either  Egypt  or  South Africa  in the quarter-finals.

4 identified female students has been expelled from kebbi college over lesbianism. 4 female students of the Kebbi State College of Science and Technology in Jega, have been expelled for engaging in lesbianism.  Confirming the expulsion notice, the provost of the newly upgraded institution, Alhaji Aminu Dakingari, said the female students were caught red-handed in the act by the school's security personnel and cleaners.  The provost of the institution who further revealed that the two of the female students are from Kotangora in Niger State while two others are from Kebbi and Sokoto respectively, said they were expelled after they were found guilty by the disciplinary committee set up by the school authority.  Alhaji Aminu Dakingari also claimed that the female students resorted to threatening his life, after being expelled.    "The  students confessed to the committee that they committed the crime and we just have to expel them from the school”, he said.
